2.5 starsThe blurb sounds promising -- and I do have a weakness with stories regarding cops and detectives. Unfortunately, the execution doesn't work for me. I am trying to figure out why. Maybe it's how Martin gets turn on in a funeral. Maybe it's how he tells Justin everything within days of knowing him as a partner and not to his ex-partner of ten years (where is the trust??). Maybe it's how the premonition makes things easy, from "seeing" the crime to solving who the murderer or bad guys are. I think I miss the procedural steps, and the tension of investigation. That is why around 1/3 of the book, my interest going spirally downward.
