My biggest problem was the change in perspective, I guess. The previous three novellas focus in one narrator but using third person POV. This one is in first person POV.
See, I first read about Adam (and intrigued by him) in Piper Vaughn's Bookmarked and somehow reading Adam's thoughts in first person narrative just didn't fit with what I had in my mind about him. I was tired of his thoughts actually, and he no longer appealing for me. I also didn't feel the chemistry needed between him and Brandon.
I did like the dogs. So yeah, just another meh read.
