In Memoriam (Cari Z)

I felt pretty good when I was able to figure out the mystery (haha!).
Well, the 'twist' was smart and definitely made this short story different. I thought that revelation of the mythology was the best part. Without it, In Memoriam would simply be an understated romance with minimal angst featuring a slightly insipid couple (one is an introverted gardener and the other a speologist who might as well be a chef) and an adorable dog.
