This is the sequel to the free short story (which was written for "Don't Read In the Closet event and based from MY prompt), The Alpha and His Ace. As an asexual, I guess I wanted to read about asexuality in the genre. I was excited when I saw this being listed. Especially since this time, the narrator is Aidan, the asexual human mate of Bran, the Alpha Wolf.
Oh, how I loved this one!! Yes, it was only 8,000 words ... but you know why I loved this?!? Because this SPOKE to me in so many level. While the theme was basically about Aidan's doubts and worries regarding sex with Bran, but this was written from an asexual point of view. Our worries matter!
The ending was just SO adorable. Gah, I think at this point, Bran could easily be my book boyfriend. An Alpha who understands his ACE, give me that!!! And I want Bran's cake *haha*.
Yep, I loved this. It made me HAPPY ... for both the asexuality voice, the asexuality character, and ending. Thanks for the happy ending, Ana :).
I didn’t blame her, not really. She was only part of a society that was getting more and more comfortable with all the sex all the time, and that didn’t consider for a moment that some of us weren’t into all that. My mom wanted me to be happy. It was only hard for her to understand that I didn’t need the same things she did to be happy.
