The first few chapters bored me a little; as it detailed Robie's life as an assassin and killed his victims. Until Julie came into the page; then Robie had to kill the mother with her child and things went haywire. Afterwards, everything moved forward and thrilling. I enjoyed the surprises thrown Robie's way. The number of victims here were quite a lot, although at the same time, their death didn't create any emotional impact on me as a reader whatsoever.
By the way, I did think that Robie was more interesting when he interacted with others though, either Julie, Vance, or even Blue Man. I might keep an eye on this series too. It's interesting to read a government assassin as a main character.
