Takes Two To Tango (Vicky Heysham)

Takes Two to Tango (2015 Daily Dose - Never Too Late) - Vicky Heysham

I decided to buy this short story by Vicky Heysham after I read her contribution to this year's Don't Read in the Closet event (yes, this event is a perfect vehicle to introduce me to new authors). For the most part, please check out Meep's review as well, because she and I shared the same opinion.

I thought Daniel was a darling -- and I loved the fact that he didn't really let his age dragged him down. He still approached Will, even if the younger man (there is 19-year-old gap here, for those of you who need to know this thing) was unfriendly and irritable towards Daniel at first.

The chapters with "What Happened After the Happy Ever After" was cute and different, but they were unnecessary for me. I would've appreciated if I could get the 'connecting' part in the middle to be lasting a bit longer in replacement of those chapters. I would rather read the moments where Will started to see Daniel in a new light; when he realized that the older man was the right man for him.

I think I might look out for Heysham's works in the future.
