This one have Stephen and Crane facing madness of ghost sightings followed up with blindness that attacked several people, including Merrick. It was a very quick read, and quite straightforward -- they found out about the disease, they teamed up of finding out the reason and the cure, and all was well.
Truthfully, I will gobble up any stories from "A Charm of Magpie" world - short or otherwise. So despite it being short, I still thought it was enjoyable. Plus we had Crane stating this "My lover. My shaman. My bloody-minded, obstinate, slippery Stephen.". Ahhh, ♥
