When Adam Kissed Me

When Adam Kissed Me - Chris Scully

OMG I LOVE THESE TWO GUYS!! I must say that Chris Scully’s writing suits me just fine. I read this with smile on my face – and all right, fine, I also had sniffy moments (my sappy side is showing *grin*).

In this novella, took place 9 1/2 weeks after Adam kissed Joe in Inseparable, we finally get Joe’s perspective (Inseparable was written from Adam’s point-of-view) as he dodged the worry about Adam’s feeling for him (will it changed?) to suffering from a case of horniness and blue balls (he couldn’t have sex with Adam, Adam had broken ribs and concussion!). I found it adorable … because Joe was trying so HARD not to have sex with Adam (haha!). But at the same times, he was so scared that Adam would go back to his ‘straight’ ways.

I could be such a sucker for best-friends-to-lovers story and this one had what I needed. There were a couple flashbacks on important moments on Joe and Adam’s life, so it was clear how these two men had been part of each other's life for so long. I was so happy that the two men were actually TALKING about the issue. And after they straighten things up (no pun intended), I found it quite humorous that Adam was soooo ready to embark the joy of gay sex, even bringing up possible kinky sex, and Joe was totally horrified (haha!).

It was sweet and cute and romantic, and I loved everyone here, including the friends and Joe's Italian family. I even thought that Adam and Joe’s friend, Peter, might have a good story to tell there! A Greek boy with a Greek boy love sounded good, no?

Another story from Chris Scully that made me all smile with happiness. I would definitely read another book by her.
