The first reaction that I had when I finished this book was "Damn it, I want to read it all over again from the beginning just to savor it". THAT doesn't happen a lot.The summary is good enough the explain about the book. So, I'm just going to straight to my opinion. Evin (love the name) KinKaid and Mason Thorne are two of the most wonderful characters in shifter stories. I love them so much. While their relationship happens pretty fast (Evin and Mason meet when Mason has sort of an accident with his car and Evin is the mechanic dealing with it) but the chemistry is so palpable. I don't question myself that the two guys belong to one another. The tingles I feel from my feet to my chest everytime I read their interaction are proofs how the story moves me. Sure, there is no surprising plot -- even the decision that Evin takes related to Mason's fate and his pack is predictable -- but it doesn't mean that the story feels outdated or cliché. In fact, I celebrate their story because it is a perfect combination of attraction, deep emotion, yearning, and how love conquers all. The ending is sexy with a touch of naughty (very delicious, I might add).Definitely one of my favorite books in the M/M paranormal/urban fantasy genre that I read this year.
