When two friends (that would be Marleen and Kate) both liked this one, well, it'll be stupid for me not to give it a go... and I just love this story so much for its fresh take on treating literary arguments as a foreplay. Gosh!! This story can be summed up with this line by the author itself ... "boy meets boy, boy insults boy's favorite author, boy gives scathing and incendiary reply, boy's fan throws a book at boy and breaks his arm... and somehow, boys fall in love". ... and in between, there are HIGHLY entertaining conversations ranging from Dickens (which spurs the Dickensgate), necessity of artistic endeavor, their own books, which then leads to charming story of two men falling in love. While, I have to note that there is one personal pet peeve appearing here (yes, the solo shower) but it doesn't even bother me that much. Not when it's brief, the real sex is fade-to-black, the characters are ENDEARING, and the conversations are THAT CLEVER...You're wrong about everything, except for the things I’m wrong about. I’ve fallen in love with exploring that fault line between us. He adds a note below: Or: why literary arguments are the best kind of foreplay...Isn't it any wonder that I still prefer to read fanfics at this time, compared to published ones (which started to exhaust me to no end?) PS: In light of so many 'wars' between badly-behavior-author vs. reviewers, Merlin has this to say (in the story) ... "Assaulting someone because they disagree with you makes an arsehole. Period". WELL SAID, Merlin!
