I have to agree with my friend, Anke on this. I enjoyed Liz Strange's David Lloyd Investigations series but this one didn't live up to the novels. Maybe because of the short format *shrugs*.
The premise was good, David and his grandmother's live-in boyfriend John, solving a 50-years-old mystery. BUT, the conclusion of this mystery sort of happened off-page, and since John also done some investigating himself, not all of the clues were discovered by David. To me, it wasn't as satisfying.
Oh, and I missed Jamie. As David's partner, he didn't have enough screen time.
