Iron Eyes (Vivien Dean)

Iron Eyes - Vivien Dean

3.5 stars

I really liked the setting and the mild romance -- the steampunk aspect wasn't overwhelming which was a good thing for me since I tend to have difficulties with the steampunk genre (historical + technology = Ami's brain getting fuzzy *lol*). We still had Hector tinkering things, creating pieces of machinery ... which made up for the technology part.

I enjoyed Cap and Hector's progress of romance; it felt natural, despite the fact that it might also be made possible because of the isolated place; and they were the only men who liked men, so to speak.

The story might have more impact if it is not simply a novella length, though...

PS: First title of 2016, by the way
