What I liked about it:

+ ROAD TRIP!!
+ The Reindeer Run, which made me want to see a movie with it
+ The emotion feels real
+ The sibling relationship; can't help it, I loved that kind of dedication and loyalty between siblings.
+ The ending with Gavin's parents. I loved that. It wasn't easy but it was still good.

What I didn't really care about:

+ The teenagers' emo; I guess I passed that phase long time ago. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Which is why I still cannot claim young adult/new adult as my favorite genre.
+ I hated that word that Charlie used on Candance. She might be a bigger person that I was, because I wanted to smack Charlie on his mouth when he said it. No matter that at that time he lashed out because he felt hurt.
+ On that note, it took me awhile to warm up for Charlie. Good thing he was good to his sister.
+ The sex scenes -- this was definitely my issue alone. Duly noted, I usually skim sex scenes (only a handful of authors now, whose sex scenes can work for me), but the whole dirty talks with these young men turned me off even more.
