Ami's Hoard

It started fun enough -- the whole little sister and big brother's best friend trope is always kind of cute -- but I guess I wanted my heroine to be, well, more confident than Lucie. I'm generally okay with make-over story line, but I always want my characters to be like diamonds in the rough; I must be able to see (and believe) that she/he is already fantastic, thus the make-over only brings it to the surface. Lucie is a bit too bland for me. The issues before the HEA feel trivial and I missed the fighting scenes (where are the epic fighting scenes??!).

So this is the case in which I wasn't impressed much with the characters and their relationship. Still 3* rating because some scenes were quite delightful...
