None of these characters I really liked. Except maybe Benjy's friend and Kyle's girlfriend before he dates Benjy (she has sass!).

I thought that Benjy's animosity towards Kyle felt over the top. Kyle was pretty bland, and like one other reviewer who noticed, the whole "kid" thing he called Benjy felt condescending. This also had an eight year old boy that sounded so much mature -- ALTHOUGH, I will give a leeway because I don't have children myself, so I wouldn't know how they behave (and I usually stay away from them if I could)

For a novella, I actually put this down several times and struggled to keep my interest o_O. That is never a good sign.
