This novel has quite a strong beginning -- as Nathan woke up with a man in his bed but he couldn't remember anything about it. It might sound like a start of a romantic comedy but this one turned out more on the drama side, as Nathan found out that he was actually drugged and it was part of a blackmail attempt to stop his company to win a contract.
I actually liked both men enough to follow through their story. Nathan was a fan of focus. I loved that he actually READS self-help books in order to specialize in something -- this includes a self-help on how to succeed in relationship! It was so adorable!! Especially because Nathan never really in relationship before -- especially with a man; though he doesn't hang up on the fact that he likes a man. He just wants to know how he can be a good boyfriend for Tim (so sweet!!).
I also liked Tim -- he did fall hard for Nathan from almost the very first get go, but I guess he won my heart for his responsibility towards his drunk father, as well as this 'melancholia' feel whenever Tim was around Nathan.
BUT ... the story kind of fizzled out near the end, like it lost its initial focus or something... Especially when the mystery about the blackmail was solved. It had the "so what now" feel to it... like the author didn't know when on how to actually ended this story. Plus it had the insta-love theme which I am not fond of.
And I still don't know whether THAT ending is a HEA, a HFN, or just abbreviated version. It was definitely missing something of a closure.
