1.5-stars
First of all, I feel like I need to apologize to the author somewhat.
The truth is I don't really give out 1-star ratings on principle -- those books I hate or despise, I will DNF early on, thus no rating. But this book was picked as my Indonesian M/M Readers group reading challenge for January, in which one of the rules is no DNF (but we can skim haha), so I needed to force myself to read skim in to the very end, which ended up with my 1.5* rating there.
I LIKE NOTHING IN THIS BOOK. NOTHING.
So yes, Justin was PATHETIC -- really, man, GROW A FUCKING SPINE, why don't you?!? And here I thought that nothing is worse than reading pathetic character. Oh, wait, there IS something worse ... in which I had to endure Tony, who is ARROGANT AND POSSESSIVE JACKASS!!!! So Justin hurt you in the past. Well, BOO FUCKING HOO! The whole "I need my revenge, I want to humiliate you because you hurt me in the past" seemed like it came from a VERY BAD Harlequin trope (you know the billionaire blackmailing the heroine kind of trope) from years ago.
AND I STOP READING HARLEQUIN FOR ITS PITIFUL DRAMA!!
Added the snotty bitchy female who thinks "Tony is my boyfriend, he doesn't love you, Justin, he would make me a star" and I was ready to tear my hair out! Chris might be a little interesting, if I didn't already dislike him on sight for being another conceited rich boy.
I was forced to skim because if not I would've thrown my Kindle to the wall, and I love my Kindle. I did NOT love this book. Wait, scratch that, I hated this book.
But I need to say something nice about this book too -- because that's how I am taught. Okay, I like the cover. How's that?
